Mrs. Betty Lou Gardner Obituary (1927 - 2017)

Betty Lou Gideon Gardner, 89, of Russellville, AR died on Friday March 17, 2017. The daughter of the late Ab and Pebble Parker Gideon, she was born March 28, 1927 in Russellville, AR. She married the late David H Gardner on October 25, 1947. She is survived by her son, David W Gardner (Daphne) and her granddaughter Judith Gauthier (David) both from Hammond, LA. She is also survived by a niece, Beth Fortier, from Goodridge, MN. Mrs. Gardner attended Arkansas Tech. She was an avid bridge player and UA football fan. She was a longtime resident of Shreveport. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Russellville. The family greatly appreciates the excellent care given to Mrs. Gardner by Paulette Meador. Graveside Service and burial will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, March 20, 2017 at Oakland Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Rev. Roy Smith will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, on Sunday, at the funeral home.
