Charles Edward Heathcoat Obituary (1933 - 2018)

Charles Edward Heathcoat, 84, of Russellville, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Stella Manor Nursing Home in Russellville, AR. The son of Otis and Hazel Price Heathcoat, he was born November 8, 1933, in Pope County, AR. He married Martha J. (Hood) Heathcoat, on November 6, 1954. In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by a son, Chuck Heathcoat (Susie); a grandson, Seth Heathcoat (Renee), three great grandchildren, Chauncey Heathcoat, Mikeilah Heathcoat & Jazmin Heathcoat; and, a sister, Ruby Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, David Leon Heathcoat, three brothers, Hershel, Bill and Gene Heathcoat; and, a sister, Nita Armstrong. Charles served four years in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired electrician with Bibler Lumber Company, and was a member of the Russellville First Assembly of God, where he served as a Trustee, and performed ministry with a gospel quartet. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Funeral Service will be 2:00PM, Friday, October 12, 2018, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Full military honors will be provided by the Rogers-Rye VFW Post #2283.
