Mr. Jerry DeWitt Massey Obituary (1941 - 2018)

Jerry DeWitt Massey, 76, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home. The son of Dennis and Gladys Louise Hardin Massey, he was born December 12, 1941 in Morrilton. He attended Petit Jean VoTech. Jerry married Helen Grigsby, on November 22, 1963 at Dardanelle. He was a retired electrician from Arkansas Tech University. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He attended Russellville First Assembly of God and had served as an usher. Jerry enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Helen Massey; a son, Kevin Massey (Annette); a grandson, Brandon Massey; a granddaughter, Emily Massey all of Russellville; two sisters, Myra Massey and Carol Loyd (Randell) both of Morrilton. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Mike Norberg, Rev. Ronnie Morris, and Rev. Bud Avants will officiate. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Full military honors will be provided by Rogers-Rye Post 2283 of the VFW.
