Ruby D. Hardcastle Obituary (1929 - 2017)

Ruby D. Hardcastle, 87, of Russellville, passed from this life, Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Stella Manor Nursing Home in Russellville. She was the daughter of R.F and Vila Helvey Allen, and was born December 8, 1929 in Iowa. Ruby was raised by her paternal grandparents, James Luther and Mattie Allen. She graduated from Parma High School in Parma, Missouri and later attended Business College. She worked for over 20 years for Sears as a store manager, in both Poplar Bluff, Mo and the Russellville store. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and won several awards for her beautiful crochet work. She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, "Shorty" Allen; and 2 sisters, Catherine and Myrtle; a half-brother, Sod Allen. She is survived by 2 sons, James Michael "Mike" Yocum, Russellville, Randolph Allen "Randy" Yocum (Patty), Reed Springs, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Dawn Yocum, McAlister, OK, James Richard Yocum, Oklahoma City, OK, Gabe Yocum, Springfield, MO, Rev. Andrew Yocum, Albany, MO; 2 great grandchildren, Katie and Rachel Yocum. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Rest Haven Memorial Park under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Rev. Andrew Yocum will officiate.
