Whit Earl Powell Obituary (1973 - 2016)

Whit Earl Powell, 43, of Russellville, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 in Conway. The son of Randy and Mary (Self) Powell, he was born July 9, 1973 in Honolulu, HI. He was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Russellville and his vocation was truck driver. He enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music, writing, fishing and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Survivors include his parents, Randy & Mary Powell; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jason Gunnels; niece, Rose Gunnels; two nephews, JD and Will Gunnels, all of Russellville; and several uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Brother Tim Tripp will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5-7PM, on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Camp Caudle, 857 SR 164, Hector, AR 72843.
