–

Russellville, Arkansas

Live stream will begin at 12:45

Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, will always hold the sacred moment when Heaven gained one of its most courageous & faithful young women, Korey Brooke Heath, 22, of Russellville, who was escorted by angels into the presence of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. We will celebrate her life's journey of courage, strength, perseverance, and unwavering faith on Friday, June 2, 2023, with family visitation beginning at 12:00 PM, followed at 1:00 PM, by a service of praise, worship, and thanksgiving to God for her ultimate healing and the precious gift of Korey Heath at First Baptist Church of Russellville.

Korey's parents are Michael & Randi (Verduzco) Heath of Russellville. She was born December 15, 2000, along with her twin sister, Kasey Heath (engaged to Cameron Curtis), all of Russellville. Her maternal grandmother is Margie Verduzco of Russellville, and her maternal grandfather is Richard Verduzco, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona. Her paternal grandparents are Robert & Barbara Heath of Diamond City, Arkansas. She has a niece, Sutton Jane Curtis of Russellville, her Aunt Cheryle Risley (Ron) of Valley Springs, Arkansas, her Aunt Debbie Williams (Rick) of Anderson Flat, Arkansas, and her Uncle Richard Verduzco III (Dani), of Phoenix, and many cousins. All of them and many hundreds of friends will miss her radiant smile, vibrant personality, and positive spirit about life.

Following her graduation from Russellville High School in 2019, Korey followed the divine calling in her heart to be a caregiver in nursing and enrolled as a nursing student at Arkansas Tech University. Excelling there as she did in many other areas of her life, Korey gained membership in the Arkansas Tech Honors College. She was active in the Student Nursing Association and, because of her great love for baseball, a part of the Arkansas Tech Sluggers.

Being the athletic person that she was and daughter of a high school coach, Korey played softball, soccer, basketball, and other sports enjoying competitive growth in each one. She loved working out in the gym, taking long neighborhood walks with her family, being on the lake, and demonstrating her creative talents with painting and other arts & crafts. She especially loved being "Aunt KoKo" to her beautiful niece.

The most important relationship in Korey's life was the one she flourished in with Jesus Christ. She loved His Word, His church, His people, and worshipped & served Him faithfully at First Baptist Church of Russellville, where she worked often with the Preschool Ministry. Her most sincere desire was for all her family & friends to know Jesus as she knew Him so that a day would come soon when she would welcome their reunion together in Paradise.

Her family will have a private committal of her body to a grave in East Point Cemetery awaiting her resurrection into a glorified body at the sound of the trumpet and the voice of the archangel in the Rapture of the Church.

Pallbearers include Cameron Curtis, William Silveira, Rodney Sparks, Jacob Sparks, Jordan Sparks, and Bruce Beck.
