Alan R. Tucker, 63, of Russellville, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at his home. The son of Harry Roy and Reba Lois Whorton Tucker, he was born November 19, 1955 in Russellville.
He played football with the Russellville High School Cyclones and was a 1974 graduate and attended Arkansas Tech University. During Alan’s 30-year career in the forestry products industry he worked with both International Paper and the Weyerhauser Company. He retired in 2017 from the Firestone Tire Plant in Russellville.
Alan anchored his life around his two children and five grandchildren and saw them as his greatest accomplishment. He loved the outdoors and was an avid bass fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Roy Tucker.
He is survived by a son, Jeff Tucker and his wife, Sarah, Bentonville; daughter, Jaclyn Julian and her husband Brad, Bentonville; his mother, Reba Whorton Tucker, Jessieville; brother, Kent Tucker and his wife Karen, Russellville; sister, Sandy Davis and her husband, Robbie, Jessieville; five grandchildren, Harrison, Avery, and Elliott Tucker and Emmy and Brooks Julian; and his faithful labrdador, Jackson.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Rev. James Findley will officiate. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at the chapel.
