Andrew Chester Jacobs, 71, of Pottsville, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at John McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. The son of Chester and Martha Stenmark Jacobs, he was born May 28, 1947 in Cleveland, OH. He obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Arkansas. He married Debra Nichols Jacobs,on December 13, 1974 in Orlando, Florida and was a retired United States Navy Veteran of Vietnam and a retired engineer from Arkansas Nuclear One. Above all he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. He was a member and officer of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 3928, V.F.W. Post 2259, and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed vehicle restoration, golfing and watching NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Andrew leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Debra of Pottsville; two daughters, Stacy McCullar (Jeff Davidson) of Leachville; Erin Lundy (Christopher) of Springdale; three granddaughters, Lauren McCullar; Presley Davidson; Alexis Milke; a brother, Kenneth Jacobs (Julie) of Geneva, OH; two sisters, Leslie Chappel (Bob) of Mentor, OH; Joann Koepp of Birmingham, AL and other relatives and friends.
A family directed memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 18, 2019 the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Russellville. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
