Charles Edward Osburn, 84, of Russellville, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Russellville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The son of Anis and Maudie Hopson Osburn, he was born September 14, 1934 in South New Hope. He married Genelda Ruth Osburn, on September 24, 1955 at Dover. He was a retired truck driver with Valmac. Charles was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Assembly of God and enjoyed spending time with family, camping, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and two brothers. Charles is survived by his wife, Genelda Osburn; a son, Darrell Osburn (Elizabeth) of Russellville; four daughters, Debra Rust (Lea Matchett) ; Karen Brown (Dennis); Ruth Day (Eugene) all of Russellville; Katina Osburn (April Farris) of Dover; nine grandchildren, Travis Osburn (Amanda) of Vilonia; April Osburn of Russellville; Danny Flanery (Grace) of Atkins; Lonnie Byrum (Lucinda) of Hagarville; Shawn Rust of Russellville; Charles Kiggins (Nikki) of Russellville; Rose Day (Tracy) of Russellville; Marsha Giddieon (Jerad) of Russellville; Samantha Day of Russellville; several great and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn Proctor-Pritchard and Nancy Cook.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Jackie Pledger will officiate. Burial will be at Brearley Cemetery in Dardanelle by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Friday, at the funeral home.
