Obituary

Herschell Hale Hargus, 78, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019

at his home.  The son of Alan and Jocelle Damron Hargus, he was born April 4, 1940 in Cement, OK.  He married Caroline Finger, on November 15, 1980 at Hector, Arkansas.  He was a United States Army Veteran of Viet Nam proudly serving with the 25th Infantry as an artillery and ordinance officer.  He was an Industrial Engineer and an avid pilot.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and former owner of The River Valley Aviation Academy.   He was a member of the Pilot's Association, Russellville Gun Club, Eagle's Club, Russellville Morning Rotary and former member of the Russellville Planning Committee. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family.   He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary Hargus.

Herschell is survived by his wife, Caroline Hargus of Russellville; a son, Coyt David Hargus (Maridee) of Suffolk, VA; four daughters, Edde Jo Hargus; Jahna Marie Holland both of Fort Worth, TX; Elizabeth Scott Cervantes (Noah) of Houston, TX; Anne Katherine Parks of Frisco, TX; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Humphrey Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral

Service.  Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, on Saturday, at the funeral
