Joy Anna (Hall) Anderson

Joy Anna Anderson, 89, of Russellville, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Russellville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  The daughter of Lewis and Lydia (Hardison) Hall, she was born October 4, 1930, in Tehecuana, TX.  She was a Homemaker.  Joy was a devoted wife and loving mother.  She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening and travel.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Anderson; her parents; a son, Alan Anderson; and her brother, Dick Hall.  Joy is survived by two sons, Ron (Phala) Anderson of Russellville; David (Cindy) Anderson of Hot Springs Village; a sister Nell Lee of Gibson, NC; grandchildren, Brandon (Joanna) Anderson of Hot Springs Village; Brian (Nadya) Anderson of Charleston, SC; Julie (Jason) Shepperd of Hot Springs Village; Amy Anderson Frederick, MD; and great grandchildren, Jacob Anderson;  Andrew Anderson; Lucas Anderson; Cherish Anderson; Adiline Shepperd; Beckett Shepperd;  Athena Anderson and Finn Anderson.

A private graveside service will be held at Fort Smith National Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.  The family would like to express special gratitude to the compassionate & caring staff of both Russellville Nursing Home and Arkansas Hospice.  Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home,220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, AR 72801.  Internet obituary and on-line guest book are available at
