Lonnie David Cossey, 94, of Russellville, died Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The son of James and Lillie Bell (Cross) Cossey, he was born November 25, 1924 in Atkins. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran, serving in the Rhineland and Central Europe. He worked as a carpenter and was always willing to help others by mowing their lawn or just visiting. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Emma Sue Cossey Buckner; siblings, Emma Boyd, Buddy Cossey, Ina Hill, Jessie Cossey.
Survivors include grandchildren, Karen Mullenix of Vancouver, Wa, Robin Davidson and husband, Mark of Hamilton, MT, Treg Buckner and wife Amparo of Sacramento ,CA; 8 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; special daughters, Angela Paul of Conway, Bobbie Joe Noblett of Dardanelle, and Jessie Gail Samson of OH; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous adopted children.
Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5-7PM, on Monday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Booger Hollow Tabernacle, 134 Ledford Drive, Dover, AR 72837.
