Lucille "Granny" Freeman Lewis, 89, of Russellville, formerly of Dover, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Stella Manor Nursing Home in Russellville. The daughter of George and Biddie (Sipes) Freeman, she was born January 22, 1930 in Pelsor. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Russellville. She worked for Morton’s foods for many years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, raising chickens, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Lucille was not afraid of a challenge, taking on the task of bricking and roofing her own home when the it needed finishing. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Timothy Caviness; one infant grandson; and two infant great-grandchildren; five sisters, Fannie Mae Pellham, Elsie Marie Freeman, Mildred Chisum, Novella Kelley, and Faye Reddell; and son-in-law, Boyd Caviness.
Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Caviness of Russellville and Nina Blevins of Dover; three grandchildren, Tina Caviness of Russellville, Dena Blevins of Dover, and Jeff Lewis and wife Heather of Moreland; three great-granddaughters, Patricia Caviness of Cassville, MO, Sara Faye Lewis of Moreland, and Myanna Hubbard of Atkins; one great-great-grandchild, Haven Hubbard of Atkins; brother, Odell Freeman and brother-in-law, Clinton Reddell, both of Dover; and numerous extended family.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God. Rev. Devoe Campbell and Rev. Jackie Pledger will officiate. Burial will be at Coleman Cemetery in Pelsor by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6-8PM, on Friday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Kent Dougan, Brent Beeson, Chris Reddell, Bennie Parks, John Henry Freeman, and Wendell Freeman.
