Mable Loretta Rosel, 88, of Dover, went home to be with The Lord Saturday, September 14, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. The daughter of James and Marybelle (Huckabee) Griffin, she was born April 13, 1931 in Lamar. She married Philip Rosel on December 25, 1949 at Hazen. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Dr. Henry and later with Dr. Kimball. She was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, fishing and especially spending time with family. She was a talented seamstress sewing many of her own dresses and clothing for her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mama, Moo-Moo and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Sandra Loretta Rosel, Nancy Lee Rosel, Philip Jacob Rosel II; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Philip Rosel of Dover; two daughters, Connie Rosel of Dover and Katie Rosel of Russellville; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren with one more on the way; brother, Joe Griffin and wife Garry; two sisters, Juanita Taylor and Marcy Joseph; all of Dover; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Funeral Service was held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Phoenix Free Will Baptist Church in Dover. Reverend Mark Holmes officiated. Burial was at Phoenix Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Pallbearers were Philip Rosel III, Miguel A. Ramirez, Miguel J. Martinez, and William Smith.
