Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Rackley, 92, of Russellville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Russellville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The daughter of Jess and Tabitha (Cochran) Bell, she was born October 13, 1926, in Russellville. She was a registered nurse and worked for many years with Saint Mary's Regional Hospital. Elizabeth attended Second Baptist Church, Russellville where she enjoyed traditional hymn-singing and Bible Study. Among her many joys in life, she cherished most the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. Rackley; two sons, Larry Rackley & Bill Rackley; and her brother, Brooks Bell. She is survived by three grandchildren: Phillip Rackley, Mark Rackley (Melissa), and Christi Baker, all of Harrison; a sister, Betty Ray Palmer of Clarksville; her daughter-in-law, Ann Rackley; and six great grandchildren: Chase Baker, Bergen Rackley, Emersyn Rackley, Melina Rackley, Ava Rackley and Ella Rackley.
Funeral Service will be held at 7:00PM, Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Humphrey Chapel, preceded with a time of family visitation at 6:00PM. Rev. Chris Russell will officiate. A private burial will take place at Booher Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service.
