Miriam (O’Quinn) Pyatt, 71, of Russellville, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Russellville Nursing & Rehabilitation in Russellville. The daughter of C.T. and Billie (Frazier) O'Quinn, she was born December 20, 1946, in Beaumont, TX. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University, and her Masters degree in Education from the University of Central Arkansas. She was an English teacher with Pottsville School District, and she was a member of the Arkansas Retired Teacher's Association. Miriam was a member of the Russellville First Baptist Church where she taught ladies in the Sunday morning Bible Study ministry. She loved to play the piano and accompanied the music worship at Second Baptist and Bakers Creek Baptist churches in Russellville. She enjoyed tending her flower beds, cooking, learning, and investing lots of time reading and studying the Bible.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Donald Henry Pyatt; and a sister, Margie Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Jill Kinkade; her grandson, Landon Kinkade; and two granddaughters, Logan Kinkade and Lindsey Kinkade, all of London, AR.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Greg Sykes will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to the Pottsville Community Foundation in the name of Mrs. Pyatt.
