Polly Irene Perez, 86, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. The daughter of Dick and Zelma Freeland Thomas, she was born November 7, 1932 in Gill. She was a Dietician with Lee County Public Schools. Polly was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Pope County Retired Teachers Association and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dardanelle where she worked in various food programs with the church. She enjoyed gardening and camping with family. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Perez; her parents; five sisters, Jouette Robinson, Joy Crow, Alda Chapman, Virginia Higginbotham and Louise Dreve.
Polly is survived by two daughters, Mary Alicia Davis (Robert) of Russellville; Barbara Perez Head of Little Rock; three sons, J.R. Perez (Cindy) of Pottsville; David Perez (Joyce) of North Little Rock; Rick Perez (Cheryl) of Dover; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild; a brother Dick Ed Thomas of Marianna; two sisters, Dalana Lee of Little Rock and Hazel Dunigan of Marianna.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Kelley Pearson and Rev. Cliff Allen will officiate. Burial will be at 3:00PM at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna by Humphrey Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Dardanelle.
