Roger Wayne Chisum, age 70, was ushered home to meet his Savior on Sunday June 2nd while surrounded by his family singing him his favorite gospel songs at his home in Scottsville. Wayne loved praising his Savior with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. Wayne was a jack of all trades with his work and talents. From a very early age he enjoyed making a good trade and working on cars. Another favorite of his was the telling of a good story (‘ain’t that right Ruby?’). As with many, the arrival of grandchildren brought him renewed life and joy. For years, if you wanted to find Wayne, he would be at his store or shop working and enjoying conversation with members of the community. Through the years, Wayne also spent many nights preaching and singing the gospel.
