Ruby Meyer, 79, of Russellville, passed away surrounded by family and friends Monday, September 9, 2019 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The daughter of Millard and Nellie (Robinson) Bentley, she was born September 2, 1940 in Russellville. She was a 1958 graduate of Russellville High School and a Regional Office Administrator with North Telecom. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Russellville. Ruby enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, spending time with family and friends. Ruby was also an avid cat lover. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Alma Marie Bentley; two brothers, Clarence Edward and James Earl Bentley (Joyce Elaine Bentley).
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory a niece, Jamie Bates (Steve); great niece, Hailey Bates of Russellville and significant other,Fabian Valencia of Hot Springs; three life-long friends Jo Lynne Bowden, Peggy Talkington both of Russellville and Gail Seago of Charlotte, NC; several special friends, Yvonne Johnston of Dardanelle, Carol Schwander, Susan Meador and Stephanie Bowden all of Russellville.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville. Bro. Tim Tripp and Bro. James Clement will officiate. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5-7PM, on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be, Donnie Baker, James Cole, Darrell Harrison, Thom Robinson and Tracy Goodwin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Grant, Darwin Price, James Clement, Rex Chambers and George Reed.
