W.R. "Dub" Taylor, 83, of Russellville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. The son of Homer and Estella Horn Taylor, he was born November 11, 1935 in Witts Springs. He was a Russellville High School graduate. He married Jean Haulmark, on January 22, 1959 at Russellville. He was the owner of Dub’s Sanitation Service and a cattle farmer. Dub was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and an accomplished business owner. He was a member of the NRA, Arkansas Cattleman's Association and the Crow Mountain Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren, picking blackberries, coin collecting and arrowhead collecting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Tuf Robert Taylor; three sisters, Ruby Jo Willock; Jetty Johnson; Willadean Rio and two brothers, Wallace and John Taylor.
Dub is survived by his wife, Jean Taylor; two daughters, Jena Taylor; Anita Breashears (Bob); a son W.R."Dubby" Taylor Jr. (Andrea); two granddaughters, Susan Taylor Falls (Josh); Jacee Breashears; two Grandsons, Zeb Taylor; Jud Breashears; a sister, Earlene Wages and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, October 25, 2019 at Crow Mountain Baptist Church. Bro. Howard Kisor and Bro. Don Rose will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, at the church.
