Wathena Williams, 83, of Hector, Arkansas, died Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. A daughter of Jasper and Ethel L. (Bowden) Coffman, she was born March 6, 1936, in Hector. For more than 25 years, she was a department supervisor for Matel Toys manufacturing in California. Wathena worshipped with her church family at Pottsville First Baptist Church. She loved to read, take care of plants, especially roses, spending time with family, loved nature, camping and was an amazing cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, J.W. Williams; two sons, Bobby & Jeffrey Williams; and two granddaughters, Shelina and Juanelle Dennis; six brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Dennis of Needles, CA; her sister, Louise Tucker of Atkins; four grandchildren: Michael Williams (Angela) of Pottsville, Jacklyn Matherne (Ashton) of Benton, John Williams (Jennifer) of Pottsville, and Audrey Duvall (Robert) of Pottsville; seven great grandchildren: Hayden, Hunter, Kinsey, Zoe & Kamden Williams, Addyson Spence and Dison Matherne; a daughter-in-law, Kayla Williams; and many other nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel with burial following at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Hunter, Hayden, John, Michael & Kamden Williams, Justin Nowlin and Robert Duvall.
