Curtis Neal Dunn, 71, of Clarksville, formerly of Russellville, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville.
The son of Dr. Roy and Mildred Miller Dunn, he was born July 28, 1946 in
Russellville. Curt was a 1965 graduate of Russellville High School and attended Wentworth Military Academy, Arkansas Tech University and Petit Jean Vo-Tech. Curt joined the United States Navy in 1966 and served in Vietnam aboard the USS Tutuila and was the owner and operator of
of Sunshine Laundramat. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
Rogers-Rye Post #2283. Curtis was a college football fan and enjoyed horseracing, Olympic sports
and swimming. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Timothy Lee Dunn and his loyal companion Tippy.
Curt is survived by two sisters, Barbara Hughes (Steve) of Russellville; Royann Bogy (Ed) of Memphis,TN; a brother, Steve Dunn (Judith) of Hollywood, FL; six nephews: Jeff Dunn, Roy Bogy, George Bogy, Christian Dunn, Breck Dunn, Chris Hughes; a niece, Carlee Hughes; several great nephews and a great niece; three cousins, Sue Peters, Jim Dunn and Diana Shingleur and a lifelong loyal friend, Dewayne Robinson.
A memorial service will be held this summer at the family's Mt. Nebo home. The time and date for family and friends will be announced later.
