Mr. Don Whorton Obituary (1941 - 2017)

Don Whorton, 75, of London, passed away, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The son of Silas and Della Singleton Whorton, he was born October 12, 1941 in Johnson County. He attended the school at Flat Rock. He married Judy Dixon, on April 15, 1966 at Russellville. He was a life-long Farmer and Self-employed. Don's accomplishments included being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and was loved by everyone. He enjoyed farming, gardening, grandkids, auctions, fishing, hunting and was always helping others. Don was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Samantha White; three brothers, two sisters and numerous other relatives. Don is survived by his Wife of 51 years, Judy Whorton, London; two daughters, Donna Davis (David), Dover; and Tonya Freeman,London; daughters he had taken under his wing; Missy McGuire, London, Lisa Mayo Brister , TX, and Carmie Lewallen , Russellville; five grandchildren, Cody Shaw (Tiffany), London, Paige Fox (Jacob), Wichita,KS, Cory Whorton , London; Brittanie White, London and Brody Freeman, London, two great grandchildren and one on the way Liam and Aiyana Fox, three brothers, Bob Whorton (Deloria), Russellville, Jack Whorton (Katy), London and Larry Whorton (Diana), London Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, July 17, 2017 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Birge will officiate. Burial will be at East Point Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Full military honors will be provided by VFW Rogers-Rye Post 2283. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to V.F.W.
