Donald Ray Vick

February 23, 1944 ~ June 4, 2017 (age 73)
Donald Ray Vick, 73, of Atkins, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home. The son
of Ted and Angie Ross Vick, he was born February 23, 1944 in Pottsville. He was
a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and also served during the war
in Vietnam. He and Mildred Vick were married on November 17, 1989 at
Russellville. Donald was a cattleman and rancher and worked on the Charles
Oates Farm in Pottsville for many years. A real cowboy and rancher, he worked on
heavy machinery, was a coal mine driller and was a member of the Pope County
Cattlemen's Association. He enjoyed whittling and created custom walking sticks
and canes. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Don Vick; 2 brothers,
Johnny Vick and Albert Vick; 2 sisters, Stella Vick and Mary Lou
Vick and infant sister, Othea.

He is survived by his Wife, Mildred Vick, Atkins; son, Michael Vick (Anita), Mesa, AZ; daughter, Kimberly Wennberg, Chicago, IL; granddaughters, Taylor Vick, Mesa, AZ, Kacy Vick, Coolidge, AZ, Michelle Vick and Victoria Holt, both of Atkins, AR; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Ted Vick, Russellville.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Humphrey
Chapel. Jim Bob Humphrey will officiate. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery in
Pottsville, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Full military honors will be
provided by Rogers Rye Post #2283 of the VFW. Visitation will be from 6:00
pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Internet obituary and on-line
