Mrs. Edith Mathews Obituary (1929 - 2018)

Edith Mathews, 88, of Dover, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. The daughter of James and Florence Millsaps, she was born May 6, 1929 at Deer. Edith worked in the home and was a very devoted wife and loving mother. Edith was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing, camping, worshiping her Lord and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Mathews Jr.; her parents; a grandson, Forrest Hull; a granddaughter, Megan Mathews; a brother and two sisters. Edith is survived by three daughters, Sonya Leavell, Diann Hull (Robert), Vickie Hull (Paul), a son, Ronnie Mathews (Ruby), all of Dover; Nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren, and five sisters. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Humphrey Chapel. Pastor Greg Proctor will officiate. Burial will be at Annie's Chapel in Hagarville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Monday, at the funeral home.
