Rev. Edsel Granger, 96 years old, went to be with his heavenly father on June 29, 2016. Ed was born on December 1, 1919 to his late parents Chester and Nellie Granger.
Ed was a U.S Army Air Force Veteran of World War II. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Alma University in Louisville, Kentucky in 1956 and ordained in the Presbyterian ministry in the same year.
During his career he served churches in Michigan, Brownstown, Indiana, Sullivan, Missouri and Des Peres, Missouri. Later in his career he served as interim minister in churches in Arkansas, Texas, Idaho and Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary Ellen.
Ed is survived and loved by his wife, Julia Granger; his children, Alan and Maria Granger of Boerne, Texas, Carolyn and Floyd Emily of Sullivan, Missouri, Ted and Lou Granger of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mel Granger of Warren, Arkansas, Wayne and Chris Granger of Round Rock, Texas, Mark and Mittie Granger of Russellville, Arkansas, Dr. Andrew Henry, Little Rock, Arkansas, Steve Henry and Jeff Henry, of San Francisco, California and Julie Ann and Mike McAnulty, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is survived by fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 3:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2016, at Central Presbyterian Church, Russellville, Arkansas. Rev. Brian Brock will officiate. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
