Hallie "Elese" Mackey, 94, of Russellville passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, AR. The daughter of William and Hester Lucinda Chronister Bowden, she was born July 23, 1922 in Russellville, AR. She was a graduate of Dover High School. Elese worked for Tyson Foods for 25 years and was a member of the Gravel Hill Church of Christ.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Earl Mackey; her parents; two daughters, Earlene Duvall and Irene Mackey; three brothers, Lawrence, Bobby and Bill Bowden; one sister, Louise Loveless Farmer.
Survivors include a daughter Lucille Hale (Bill) of Dover; two sons, William Earl Mackey (Betty) of Russellville, James Mackey (Lynn) of Pottsville; 10 grandchildren, Darlene Davis (Kent) of Heber Springs, Paul Duvall (Pam) of Russellville, Ann Purtell (Bryan) of London, David Duvall (Melissa) of Russellville, Shelly Hale of Russellville, Michelle Hale of Russellville, Pam Wilcox (Mark) of Russellville, Eric "Bubba" Mackey of Nashville, TN, Jamie Freeman of Pottsville, and Day Brock (Paul) of Russellville; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Duvall (Sam) of Russellville, and Janie Hudson (Don) of Russellville
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Gravel
Hill Church of Christ. Bro. Bill Roderick and Bro. Jerry Turner will
officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Gravel Hill, AR by Humphrey
Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, at
the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Randy Duvall, Roger Duvall, Gary Hudson, Danny Davis, Danny Bowden, Carroll Bowden; Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Gravel Hill Church of Christ.
