Janis Price Lindemann, 83, of Russellville, passed peacefully and surrounded by
her family on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Legacy Heights Nursing Home in
Russellville. The daughter of Leonard and Ola Serena McDonald Price, she was
born April 19, 1933 in London.
She received a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas and a Master's in counseling from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. She was a guidance counselor at the Russellville Middle School for 20 years. She loved genealogy and was the organizer and founder of the Persis-Lovely Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Russellville, and served as Chapter President and Regent.
Janis was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the Choir. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, and piano. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred Otto Lindemann and a sister, Rebecca Hensley.
She is survived by her son, Andrew Lindemann (Angie), Russellville; a daughter, Jana Boone, Denton, TX; 4 grandchildren, Eric Boone and Kathryn Boone, Adria Lindemann and Aarin Lindemann; and a brother, Lowell Price (Gwen), Hot Springs.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, on Thursday, January
5, 2017 at Humphrey Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Pope County
Senior Wellness and Activity Center, Meals on Wheels Program, 1010 North
