Jessica Lauren (Ketcheside) Taylor entered this world on a bright Spring morning, March 24th, 1981. Jessie came as a surprise and lived her life as so, loving to show up unannounced with an enormous smile and a contagious laugh, most likely accompanied by chocolate.
Jess left us in the same way she came, unexpectedly on July 30th, 2017. She was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Mable Ketcheside, Betty Turnbo and Dennis Peck Sr. Those she left behind include her parents Don and Mary Ann Ketcheside, sisters Cary Martin, Stacy Canerday, Amber Jones and Tommy Hinton, her daughter Lauren Taylor, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her little dog, Aries.
From a young age, Jessie showed her love for animals, "doggie" being one of her first words. Spirited in nature, she once ran away from the nuns on her first day of kindergarten at St. John's Catholic School. She continued her education by later receiving a degree in Graphic Design which she used to create many logos, business cards, handmade gifts and most recently hand painted and dyed t-shirts. She taught swim lessons and water aerobics for most of her time on earth, her favorite students being those with disabilities.
Having never met a stranger, Jessie's heart was larger than life, always there to help anyone in need, treating everyone like family.
One of Jessie's many talents was the ability to make people laugh. She was sharp and witty, often making fun of herself just to bring a smile to your face or laugh until you could no longer breathe.
Jessie's daughter, Lauren inherited the best parts of her mother, frequently posing with Jess in silly selfies, having chocolate for breakfast and glitter in her hair.
Some of Jessie's favorite ways to spend her time included car rides singing at the top of her lungs, taking Lauren to secluded swimming holes, and any time she could run away to the beach.
She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched during her time here.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville on Wednesday, August 9th at 10am.
