Juanita W. Sutterfield "The Cake Lady" 89, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her home. A daughter of Rufus Mack and Ova Ruth Waldron Weir, she was born November 28, 1928, in Russellville. Juanita graduated from Arkansas Tech where she obtained her Master's Degree in Elementary Education and retired from Russellville School District after teaching 32 years. Juanita's accomplishments included having prepared over 1000 wedding cakes for couples over the years and co-owner and operator of The Eureka Restaurant in the 1950's. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, and Pope County Cattlemen's Association. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Juanita enjoyed gardening, quilting, and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband Finis H. Sutterfield; her parents; a brother, Rufus D. Weir; and a sister, Euleta M. Miller.

Juanita is survived by two sons, Finis "Jeff" H. Sutterfield, Jr. (Kathy), Highlands Ranch, CO; Ben M. Sutterfield (Jill), Austin, TX; seven grandchildren, Sarah E. Sutterfield; Sam J. Sutterfield ; Erik C. Sutterfield (Jenna); Lauren E. Fleming (Alex); Caitlyn Walker (Josh); Fisher L. Sutterfield; Hunter M. Sutterfield; two great-grandchildren, Sullivan Walker; Ellisha Sutterfield; a brother, Lewis M. Weir (Darlene); a longtime friend, Tammy Lemarr and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, July 2, 2018 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. John Palmer, Rev. Keith Shipley, and Rev. David Scroggins will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Sunday, at the funeral home.
