Lana B. Billingsley, 70, of Dover, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.
The daughter of Albert and Velma McCoy Romines, she was born March 30, 1946, in Paris. She married James Brian Billingsley, on August 31, 1962, at Oxnard, California. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, beloved by all who knew her, full of quiet grace, strength, class and dignity. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed shopping, reading, solitaire and time with family while drinking diet coke. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Trey Smith and a brother, Coy Romines.
Lana is survived by her husband, James Billingsley of Dover; seven daughters; Diana Taylor of Dover; Lisa Ross of Rose Bud; Angie Smith (Jay) of Dover; Denae Anderson (Vint) of Pace, FL; Erin Stevens (Jimmie) of Mission Hills, CA; Nicole Koster of Dover; Alexa Gordon (Josh) of Greers Ferry; two sons, Jared Billingsley of Dover and Jacob Jennen of Dover; 24 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, James Romines; and other relatives and friends.
A family conducted memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, March 16, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Russellville with Bishop Sam Eastman officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
