Linda Petty, 74, of Russellville, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. The daughter of Lee and Hattie (Taube) Sanders, she was born September 15, 1943, in Vallejo, California. She was a homemaker. Worshipped in the Pentecostal faith, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, adopting stray pets, and shopping flea markets and garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dale Sanders; and two sisters, Virginia Young and Carol Stirwalt. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Jim Cecil Petty (Janet) of Van Buren, Jeff Lewis Petty (Angela) of Russellville, and Tim Martin Petty (Lesa) of Springdale; a daughter, Lisa Michelle Meeks (Tim) of Russellville; and seven
grandchildren, Hannah Petty, Logan Petty, Zach Petty, Ashley Fryar, David Meeks, Matthew Petty and Andrea Petty; along with many other nephews and nieces.
A family-led celebration of Linda's life will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Rock Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hector, with burial at Rock Springs Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service.
