Mrs. Margret Kathryn Nordin Obituary (1947 - 2017)

Margret Kathryn Pitman Nordin, age 90 of London, died Thursday, April 13, 2017. She was born April 20, 1926 in the Mt. Carmel Community to Will and Nora Tessner Pitman. Kathryn married Milton Nordin on September 16, 1947. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church and was very active in church and community activities. She was a member of the Pless Community Extension Homemakers Club and also served as a 4H leader. Kathryn enjoyed sewing, cooking, growing flowers, gardening, and caring for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Nora Pitman; two sisters, Grace White and Lucille Rachel. She is survived by her husband Milton Nordin; two children, Kerry Nordin and wife Charlotte Kay of Knoxville, and Kay Layton of Fort Worth, TX; two grandchildren, Laura Kennedy and husband Kenneth of Knoxville, Nathan Nordin and wife Brittany of Tyler, TX; one great grandchild, Kenzie Kennedy of Knoxville; a step-daughter, Mindy Carr of Mt. George, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, April 17, 2017 at Mt.Carmel Presbyterian Church, located at 1470 Mt.Carmel Rd. W, London, AR. Brother Lynelle Brooks and Brother Tom Deere will officiate. Burial will be at Booher Cemetery in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time, on Monday, at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers are; Nathan Nordin, Kenneth Kennedy, Roger White, Jerrell White, Aaron Anthony, and Phillip Sanders. Honorary Pallbearers are; Don White, Bobby Steuber, Paul Nordin, David Nordin, Al Polsgrove, Leon Strope, Richard Peters, David Metz, David Moore, and Charles Cochran.
