Mrs. Mildred Louise Turner Obituary (1936 - 2016)

Mildred Louise Turner, 80, of Denver, CO, formerly of Dover, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Denver, CO. The daughter of Arthur and Grace (Johnston) Mallernee, she was born February 3, 1936 in Scott County, IA. She married Harold Dean Turner on December 22nd, 1952 at Buffalo, IA. Her accomplishments include raising her four children, working as a church secretary and teaching Sunday school. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking and was well known for her ability to make excellent peanut brittle. Mildred also enjoyed target shooting with her 357 magnum. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold Dean Turner; her parents; one brother, Roy Mallernee; and one sister, Bertha Hutchinson. Survivors include two sons, Micheal Turner (Jamie), Bob Turner (Sheryl); two daughters, Lisa Mullins (Klaus), Sandy Turner; nine grandchildren, John Turner, Trema Daffron, Rob Turner, Chase Turner, Brianna Ramseur, Leanna Mullins, Tyler Mullins, David Ramirez and Amanda Ramirez; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family; and best friends, Loy and Dixie Edwards. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Humphrey Chapel in Russellville, AR. Brother Ted Knight will officiate. Burial will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Dover, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from Noon-2PM, on Saturday, at the funeral home.
