Nancy Hyde, 89, of Russellville, AR, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville.
A daughter of Samuel and Susie Lewers Crockett, she was born November 11, 1927, in Thyatira, MS. She married B. S. Hyde and worked with him on the home land and family farm in Thyatira, MS before moving to Russellville.
Nancy had many accomplishments and careers throughout her lifetime. She was a homemaker, owner of Royal Crown Cola Bottling Co, Hyde Vending, Sports World and other various Commercial Properties, and was a member of the Fifth and Greenwich Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, flower gardening, spending time with her family, and was avid bowler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bertrand Sinclair "B. S." Hyde; and a sister, Margaret Byrd.
Survivors include a daughter, N. Sue Finley (Dick) of Hot Springs; a son, David Hyde (Mary Lou) of Russellville; two grandchildren, Kelly Foster (Stephen) of Midway, Lindsay Harp (Cameron) of Cabot; three great-grandchildren, Emma Foster and Abigail Foster of Midway and Camden Harp of Cabot; several nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Monday, April 3, 2017, at Thyatira Cemetery in Senatobia, MS officiated by Mr. Stephen Foster under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, on Sunday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joe Hyde, Bob Hyde, Stephen Foster, Cameron Harp, Dick Finley, and Dennis Rhodes. Ray Shellnut and Terry Pugh will serve as honorary pallbearers.
