Mrs Ruby Norton

September 25, 1923 ~ February 26, 2017 (age 93)
Ruby Norton, 93, of Dover, passed from this life to her heavenly home, Sunday, February 26, 2017 at St. Mary's Regional Med Center in Russellville, surrounded by her family. Ruby was born September 25, 1923 in Ben Hur, a daughter of Bruce and Martha Standridge Collins. She was a graduate of Falling Water School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and relished time spent with loved ones. Ruby's accomplishments included being a loving mother, granny and nunu. She was a member of the Scottsville Word of Life Assembly. Ruby's passions included gardening, helping neighbors and loving people. She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Aaron Norton; her parents; a daughter, Betty Mason; a son, Guinn Norton; a son-in-law, Troy Mason; two grandchildren; five brothers and a sister.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Lottie Stubbs of Atkins; Margaret Monk(Don) of Russellville; Ruby Jean Mathews(Ronnie) of Dover; Juanita Riggs(Ruben) of Dover; Bonita Freeman(Rodney) of Pelsor; a son, Jerry Baughman(Pat) Clarksville; 20 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; 33 great-great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Moore Cemetery. Rev. Arnold Humphrey, Rev. Jimmy Turner, and Rev. Herb Tilley will officiate. Burial will be at Moore Cemetery in Ben Hur by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
