Virginia Ann Byrum, 63, a resident of Russellville, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at her home.
She was born December 15, 1952, at Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Daniel and Marie Ann Atkinson Norris. She was a former employee of Firestone and also Kroger, where she worked in the bakery. She was a former member of Southside Assembly of God before her health prevented her from attending and was a devout Christian. She enjoyed playing games on her ipad, watching movies, reading and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Rodney James Byrum; and a grandson, Faytaun Anthony Wells.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, James R. Byrum of Russellville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Sheila Byrum of Dover and Dustin L. and Vicky Byrum of Russellville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Freddie Wilson of Lamar and Chanda and David Wells of Russellville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Doyle Young of Dardanelle; a special friend who was like a sister, Sally Ashworth of Mesa, Arizona; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. James Findley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
