Eddie Young Obituary (1957

Eddie Young, 52, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, formerly of Russellville, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, AR. The son of Louis Wayne and Emma Janette Ashmore Young, he was born January 30, 1957 in Russellville, Arkansas. He worked at The Enterpriser in Ozark for over 20 years. He was a member of both East Baptist Church in Fort Smith and Fellowship Bible Church in Russellville. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. Eddie loved vacations, horses, playing basketball, swimming, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two sisters, Nancy Chaney & husband Fred of Russellville and Sheila McCormick & husband Barry of Fort Smith; three nephews, Sean, Ethan, & Aaron McCormick of Fort Smith; two nieces, Jenny Ballard & husband Byron of Russellville, Allison Clements & husband Paul of Franklin, TN.; two great nephews, Evan & Noah Ballard of Russellville; Many loving great aunts, uncles, and friends. Funeral will be at 10:00AM, Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Fellowship Bible Church. Reverend Bob Manry, Reverend Walter Portmann, and Melvin Edwards will officiate. Burial will be at Ford Cemetery near Appleton, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday.
