Harmon Lee Ross Obituary (1920

Harmon Lee Ross, 83, of Hector, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Arkansas. The son of George Lee and Ellie Gertrude (Dickey) Ross, he was born June 6, 1920 in Hector, Arkansas. He married Marjorie Ellen Adams, on September 11, 1944 at Phoenix City, Alabama. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II serving in Europe with the 82nd Airborne Division. He saw combat in the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of the Rhine. He worked as a forest manager with the Arkansas Forest Service. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kermit, Alan, and William F. Ross; and four sisters, Elizabeth Crites, Cora Richardson, Dixie Sparks, and Berna Mae Rollow. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ross of Hector; a daughter, Norma R. Reichard and husband Robert of Little ROck; two grandchildren, Michele Wallace of Little Rock, Darrell Reichard of New Smyrna Beach; one sister, Anne Knauff of Cairo; many other relatives and friends. Funeral will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 6, 2003 at Rock Springs Church in Hector. Reverend Otis Mackey and Reverend Bobby Joe Chronister will officiate. Burial will be at Rock Springs Cemetery at Hector, Arkansas by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 Friday evening at the funeral home. PDF Printable Version
