Sue Iva Pye Obituary (1924

Sue Pye, 83, of London, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Mitchell's Nursing Home in Danville. The daughter of Julius and Artie Jane Hickey Baumann, she was born October 29, 1924 in London. She was a homemaker and a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Lamar and also the Extension Homemakers Club. Sue was a long time member of the Lamar Baptist Church. She enjoyed cake decorating, needlepoint, embroidery, crocheting, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emery E. Pye and by her daughter, Teresa Thomas. Survivors include two sons, Quentin N. Pye & wife Linda of Weatherford, OK and Artis Lynn Pye & wife Carol of Plainview; five grandchildren, Jason Pye of Weatherford, OK, Jeremy Pye & wife Li Bai of Gainesville, FL, Matthew Pye & wife Heidi of Searcy, Christyl Rowland & husband Chris of London, Deanna Arivett & husband Brock of Nashville, TN; three great grandchildren; one sister, Katie Baumann Whorton of Russellville; and many other friends and relatives. Funeral will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Humphrey Chapel. Burial will be at East Point Cemetery at London by Humphrey Funeral Service.
