Arlie Washington Chisum, 87, of Hector, passed away, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Johnson Regional Medical Center in Clarksville, AR. The son of George and Lavada Freeman Chisum, he was born December 31, 1933 in Falling Water. He married Mildred Henson Chisum, on August 16, 1952 at Russellville. Arlie was retired from Bibler Lumber Company and enjoyed working on the farm, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Arlie will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Falling Water Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jimmy Don Chisum; a great granddaughter, Stormy; five brothers, Harold, Paul, Wayne, Bob and Carl Chisum.
Arlie is survived by his wife, Mildred Chisum of Hector; Two daughters, Betty Chisum of Hector; Beverly Robinson (Dewey) of Lurton; a son, Doug Chisum (Sherie)of Hector; nine grandchildren, Amanda Sexton; Crystal Lindgren; Cheyenne Sexton; Travis Chisum; Bridget Gumm; Heather Ramsey; Samantha Meadows; April Cochran; Brent Cross; 25 great grandchildren; six siblings, Irene Reddell; Ilene Collins; Darlene McNutt; Christine Humphrey; Jack Chisum and Norman Ray Chisum.
Graveside Service and burial will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Moore Cemetery at Ben Hur by Humphrey Funeral Service. Rev. Larry Don Smith and Rev. Jeff Lewis will officiate.
