With heavy hearts, we share the news of Bennie L. Meadows' passing at her home in Dover, AR, surrounded by her loved ones. Bennie was more than just a name on paper; she was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Bennie was born and raised in Dover, AR, to Loyd and Velva Turner Bates. She spent her life in the town she called home and was a beloved member of the community. For many years, Bennie worked as a Sales Associate at Sears, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
But Bennie's legacy goes beyond her work. She was a devoted member of the Dover Church of Christ, where she found comfort and solace in her faith. She was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed spending time catfishing and tending to her garden. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved grandson, who brought endless joy to her life.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Bennie, who was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Velva Turner Bates, her husband, Troy E. Meadows, and her brother, Buck Bates. However, her memory lives on through her surviving loved ones, including her son, Justin Young of Dover, grandson, Bryar Young of Dover, sister, Anna Passmore of Conway; brothers Bazzel Bates and Steve Bates, both of Dover.
We invite all those who knew and loved Bennie to join us in celebrating her life and honoring her memory. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Owens Cemetery, with burial to follow under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, at the funeral home.
Bennie's life may have come to a close, but her impact on those who knew her will never fade.
