On July 18th, 2021, William George Taylor, known as Billy George, passed away at age 84 in Vacaville, California.
Billy George Taylor was born on January 1st, 1938 on Richland Creek to George and Opal Taylor. He attended both school and church in Moore, Arkansas where we are now and where his father preached on occasion. Even when he wasn't preaching his father made sure his family was at church. At age 15 the family moved to Emoryville, California where Billy did general work and finished school. He spent four years in the United States Navy serving his country. On March 9th, 1967 he married Karen Saddler in Carson City, Nevada and they raised three children.
He went to work for the police department in Vellejo, California for a period of time before then going to work for the fire department in Vellejo, where he retired as Fire Chief.
Billy enjoyed hunting with friends and his family. He was a passionate person who would do anything for anyone that he could and he was well liked by family and friends. He was associated with the church his entire life and we know he is in heaven, God rest his soul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Opal and one son, Billy Ben. And is survived by his wife Karen, and two children, Teresa and Chris, as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
