Obituary

Boyce A. Ragsdale, 95, of Dover, entered his heavenly home, Friday, November 6, 2020.  The son of Charles and Mary Liza Trantham Ragsdale, he was born September 5, 1925 in Bull Frog Valley.  He married Bonnie Jo Reynolds, on September 15, 1951 at Bakersfield, California.  He was a United States U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.  He was a lifetime dairy farmer.  Boyce was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.   He was a  past member of the Gideon's International, Dairy Superintendent of the Pope County Fair Board, Founding Member of the Dover Rural Fire Dept. and a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Dover where he served as a Deacon and a Sunday School Teacher.   He enjoyed spending time with his family and working on the farm.   He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Chantry Jo Ragsdale; two brothers and six sisters.

Boyce is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bonnie Ragsdale of Dover; a son, Larry Ragsdale (Diane) of London; two daughters, Marla Steuber (Dennis)  of  London; Suzan Steuber (Donnie)  of  Dover; five grandchildren, Jason Steuber (Tammy); Linzy Jones (Shawn); Christopher Steuber (Heather); Angela Waldo (Tony); Grace Anderson; eight great grandchildren, Garrett Steuber (Shelby), William Cody Steuber; Kaylynne Pitts; Kathryn Waldo (Cade); Alivia Waldo; Alison Waldo; Madison Moore and Barrett Moore.

Graveside service and burial will be Monday, November 9, 2020 at Owens Cemetery by Humphrey Funeral Service. Bro. Jeff Paxton will officiate.
