Obituary

Camilla Fedrich, 88, of Murrieta, California, formerly of Plainview, died Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Murrieta Maples Board & Care in Murrieta.  She was born on November 21, 1931, near Rover, Arkansas, at the beginning of the Great Depression when times were very difficult in our country.  She was the last of five children to Christopher Columbus & Lilly (Baker) Green.

A young Camilla and Harold Fisher married when he returned from World War II, and had three sons, Donnie Fisher, Ronnie Fisher & Ricky Fisher; and a daughter, Deborah Ewart.  The family moved often during the 1950’s between Arkansas, Texas & California, finally settling in the Los Angeles area where the aerospace industry was booming.  Camilla gained fast employment as an electric board assembler, and the family moved to Westminster, in Orange County, where all their children grew up.

When her marriage to Mr. Fisher ended, Camilla eventually remarried Michael Fedrich and gained his three children as their step-mother:  Gerianne, Michael, Jr., and Jack.  While in her 40’s, she went back to school and completed her high school diploma.  When Mr. Fedrich entered college to study for the ministry, she also enrolled and graduated with honors in her preparation as a minister’s wife.

Camilla was a woman of strong faith.   She and Michael were affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention of churches for their places of worship & ministry service; and hoped to build a church in Plainview where they retired, but Rev. Fedrich was called home to be with the Lord before they could.  Camilla eventually moved back to California where she lived out the remainder of her years.

Camilla was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband; two brothers, Vernon Green & Elsie Green; and two sisters, Effie and Marge.  Along with her four children and three step-children, Camilla is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, with another on the way.

Camilla was buried at New Bethel Cemetery in Plainview on March 17, 2020.  A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, May 7, 2021 at the cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 3rd Street, Plainview, AR 72857.  Internet obituary and on-line guest book are available at www.humphreyfuneral.com.
