Charles Clinton Holt, 82, of Belleville, AR, died Sunday, March 15, 2020, at a residence in Russellville. A son of Oliver and Ola Gertrude (Shatswell) Holt, he was born January 9, 1938, in Redrock. He was a logger in the lumber business, and worshipped in the Assembly of God faith. He loved deer hunting, working his vegetable garden, and reading his Bible; but more than life, he loved his family and spending time with his kids and grandkids. The love of his life was his late wife, Faye, who he married on August 15, 1958. They spent 53 wonderful years together before she passed on June 28, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Faye; two sons, Ronnie Holt and Charles Holt, Jr.; a sister, Bernice Vanderpool; a brother, James Leon Holt; a grandson Justin Waterman; and, a great grandson, Kendall Waterman.
Charles is survived by his son, Randall Holt of Belleville; three daughters, Debbie Barnett (Johnny) of Havana; Lisa Davis (Chris) of Belleville; and Jeanie Pemberton of Hector; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Cummins and Louise Wells; and other relatives & friends.
Private funeral services will be held March 20, 2020, at Humphrey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Randy Wells and Jerry McCuin will officiate. Friends may share in the chapel service through a live-stream broadcast beginning at 1:55PM via the Humphrey Facebook page. Private burial will be at Earl Ladd Cemetery in Danville, by Humphrey Funeral Service. No visitation is planned. Following the COVID-19 national emergency crisis, a public memorial service will be planned at a later date.
