Donald “Don” Dean Sukraw, 73, of Russellville, died Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Central Arkansas Veterans Health Hospital in Little Rock. The son of Donald, Sr., and Louise (Wilson) Sukraw, he was born March 2, 1947, in Gothenburg, Nebraska. He married Mary Ann (Hale) Sukraw, on September 16, 1995, at Delaware, AR.
Don worked in various fields during his career including as the Facilities Management for Daymark Transportation of Russellville. Don was a Sargent in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, and was a proud veteran of our nation. He was a lifetime member of the
Rogers-Rye VFW Post #2283 and active in its Honor Guard team as a gunman. He was made an Honorary Member of the Lake Dardanelle Detachment #1310 of the Marine Corps League.
He and Mary worshipped and served God together with their beloved faith family at Crow Mountain Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and he and Mary loved to make day trips all across our Natural State of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Laura Jo White. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Sukraw; their two daughters, LaDonna Ryan (Jason) of Ward, AR; and, Laura Carpenter (John) of Russellville; a son, Matt Sukraw (Sandy) of Liberty, UT; and a fun-loving bunch of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
