May 17, 1961 ~ March 19, 2020 (age 58)

Obituary

Duane Paul “Tiger” Kincaid passed away peacefully on March 19, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Tiger was the son of Ruby Kincaid of Russellville, born May 17, 1961 in Rosieres-en-Haye, France.

Tiger married Xiaoqun Xu on July 21, 2008, in Abu Dhabi.  Tiger and Xiaoqun lived abroad in the Middle East for most of their marriage, traveled extensively, and lovingly fostered and rescued multiple animals.  They particularly loved caring for cats and brought many home to the Creek House to live with them.  Xiaoqun and Tiger were very happy together, and she and Tiger’s sisters lovingly cared for him in his final days at the Creek House that he loved.

Tiger was a 1979 graduate of Russellville High School.  He particularly enjoyed boxing and kept two trophies he won the year he graduated.  He continued to follow the sport throughout his life.  After graduation, Tiger joined the US Army where he proudly trained as a helicopter pilot, and was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 2 prior to his honorable discharge in 1985.  Tiger continued to work as a helicopter pilot throughout his career, working with Flight Safety International in Vero Beach, FL, Lockheed Arabia in Saudi Arabia, Houston Helicopters in Pearland, TX, and many years with Abu Dhabi Aviation in various parts of the Middle East where he flew VIPs and members of the Jordanian royal family for years.  Tiger was a very skilled and highly regarded helicopter instructor.

Tiger was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.  He is survived by his wife Xiaoqun Xu, his mother Ruby Kincaid of Russellville, sister Mary Kincaid and niece Emily Kincaid of League City, TX, sister Caroline Kincaid of Russellville, Aunt Mary Cooper of Dermott, Aunt Lou Ann Anders of Russellville, cousins Lora, Walter and JD of Dermott, and well-loved cats Fatty, Tommy, and Lily and dog Sadie of the Creek House.  He was a loyal and generous friend, a true animal lover, and a real wit.  His only niece will always remember how he and the rest of the family dressed up to see Rock of Ages in their best rock and roll look!

The family will hold a private celebration of his life and encourages any memorials to be made to the American Humane Society or the American Cancer Society. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. On-line obituary and guestbook are available at www.humphreyfuneral.com.
