Freddy Fields, 87, of Russellville, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. The son of Clifton and Dora (Niemeyer) Fields, he was born May 21, 1932 in Johnson County. He was a Russellville High School graduate and attended Arkansas Tech University. He married Anna Page in September of 1958 in Leslie. He worked as a heavy machine salesman. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #274 and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was the founder of the Woods Hollow Hunting Club and a member of Ducks Unlimited. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife, Anna Page Fields; daughter, Cenia Sojka, husband Dan; son, Mark Fields, companion Barbara Quisenberry, all of Russellville; six grandchildren, Sara Lassiter, husband Matt of Rogers, Aryn Murphy, husband Jared of Dover, Ashleigh Keeling, husband Tanner of Fayetteville, Hunter Fields, wife Chesney of Russellville, Ben Sojka of TN, and Taylor Skinner, husband Clay of Russellville; six great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Church of Russellville; brother, Leeroy Fields of Dover; and numerous extended family.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 2-3pm, on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM, Monday, February 10, 2020 at Humphrey Chapel. Brother Jackie Pledger will officiate. Burial will be at Owens Cemetery in Dover by Humphrey Funeral Service. Pallbearers are Hunter Fields, Bobby Fields, Jared Murphy, Clay Skinner, Carey Banks, and Timmy Ray Ward. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Woods Hollow Hunting Club.
