James Allison Pullen, 82, of Dover, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Public viewing will be available Thursday, September 29, 2022, from noon to 5:00 PM at Humphrey Funeral Service. A graveside service and visitation with the family will be Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM in Pisgah Cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
James was born June 14, 1940, in Dover, Arkansas, to Ivan Allison & Ruth (Teeter) Pullen. Prior to retirement, he was a surveyor in the construction business. He also served his country for 8 years in the Army National Guard.
James was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda Pullen. He is survived by his son, Brian Pullen of Fayetteville; a sister, Mary Martin (Bill) of Dover; two sisters-in-law, Geneva George and Fannie Phillips; four nieces and two nephews.
Living in Fayetteville his final years with his son, Brian, the two of them enjoyed being avid fans & supporters of Razorback sports, and going to eat at “cool places” mostly where good old home-style cooking was offered. He was known by family and friends for his keen sense of humor. While still living in Dover, he enjoyed meeting his friends at the coffee shop where they always solved all the world’s problems together.
